Newsletter - 11th November 2009

We held our Remembrance Service this morning where children were reminded of the sacrifice others have made so that we can all live the free existence that we do today. Thank you to all those who sent in donations to the Poppy Appeal, they were much appreciated. Thank you also to William Maitland-Round who did such a good job circulating the Poppies to the classes.

Whole School Pantomime Visit

The children will need to be registered at 8.30 a.m. on Friday 4th December ready to embark coaches. The school gates will therefore be open from 8.20 a.m. on that day.

KS2 children will need to bring their own named plastic drinks bottle with water only. A healthy snack will be provided.

KS1 children will be provided with both water and a snack.

Children In Need

Next Friday (20th November) will be a Mufti Day where children may wear non-school uniform. They should wear something “spotty” and will have the opportunity to buy 1 Pudsey treat baked by the Year 1 children at a cost of 50p. If your child does not want a Pudsey treat, then a donation towards the charity would be greatly appreciated. With thanks – Mrs S. Strawbridge KS1 Co-ordinator.

Book Shop

Thank you to all those parents and children who have supported our book shop this week. Tomorrow (12th November) is the final day, so there is still time to choose a special book to read with your children. The shop opens at 3.30 p.m. in the school hall.

On Sunday November 15th in the School Hall from 10.30 a.m. you are invited to bring your family to be photographed. These make lovely presents for Christmas with frames and Canvas wraps to suit every décor! Save 10% on mounted prints!
