Rationale

This policy sets out the times of the whole school day and will ensure the smooth running of the school.

8.40 a.m.	The school gate will open.
8.45 a.m.	Children will be supervised in the playground.
8.55 a.m.	Bell rings. All children line up in the playground.
10.30 a.m.	Break time.
10.45 a.m.	End of break – children line up in the playground.
12.15 p.m.	Key Stage 1 lunch.
12.30 p.m.	Key Stage 2 lunch.
1.30 p.m.	End of lunch time play – children line up in the playground.
2.45 p.m.	Key Stage 1 play
3.30 p.m.	School finishes

There are 195 days in the whole school year, 5 days will be used for staff training, leaving 190 days taught in six terms.
